Home protection

Post  Kable24 on Wed May 06, 2009 4:50 pm

So, my wife finally caved and let me buy a gun for the house. Home break ins have slowly working their way out to the suburbs where I live and I figured it was time to get something just in case. We have a pretty intimidating 90lb Shepherd/Lab mix, but I wanted something more powerful. So, last Friday I picked up this bad boy

Not bad. It comes with two 17 round magazines. Before I met my wife, I had a concealed weapons permit and carried on my a Ruger .45 and a Beretta .25. I also kept a Winchester 1200 Defender 12 gauge shotgun in my car.

This Taurus 9mm has a nice little bracket built in for either a laser site or a flashlight mount. Debating on if I should get the laser site for it.

Pretty sweet. I would like to get a gun someday. I'd like to get an assault rifle or something. Maybe an AK.

I want a room like Arnold had in Commando. A room full of guns.

I'd like to have an AR-15. Probably one of my favorite rifles.

Also on my list of guns to own before I die:

M4 Carbine
Barrett .50
Desert Eagle
Tommy Gun

I don't the last one is legal to own though.

I don't think a true Thompson is legal and the Barret is most definitely not legal to own.

I don't think the US gov is going to allow a citizen to purchase a .50 caliber sniper rifle.

So uh... here's me holding a terrorist's worst nightmare.

Legal or not, it was in my hands.
