You know I actually like Carlo Siliotto's score from the 2004 film, it's a really good soundtrack on its own.

This is probably one of my favorite bits of music from it.

Yeah, it's a really good song. Especially in the extended cut, it fits a lot better going from the narration on the bridge to an acoustic song rather than Drowning Pool.

That's another thing about Punisher movies they need to put an end to if they ever want to do a movie right, is stop with all the Drowning Pool and Rob Zombie type bands playing on the soundtracks.

The 2004 film was better about it because outside of the credits all the actual music was diegetic, it came from a source in the scene. And in War Zone, it just jumps from score to house music, Slipknot or emo shit.

Though the '89 film did have "Planet of Love" for its credits.

ha, I don't remember much about Punisher 89. I'm surprised I didn't throw the dvd out the window after it was over.

I agree with you about the 04 movie not being as bad under those circumstances but that Seether song felt kinda overused even though it was only in the movie twice, I guess because they felt they wanted to use it as Joan's theme song.

Anyway, even having it in the end credits makes me feel like I want to take the movie less serious after I walk out of it. Mostly because I haven't listen to a nu metal band since the 8th grade. That and I feel like they are marketing the movie to audiences who exclusively listen to that kind of music and a lot of people don't.

I really like the song that was in the end credits to Taken though. If they used something like that, I would be a lot more happy.

You know what was really good, the music for the 2005 video game (extra tidbit, it was written and composed by the singer for Alien Ant Farm).

Definitely. I'm not a fan of Alien Ant Farm but I really liked that song a lot. I used to have a hard time trying to find a place where I could download it and the version I have now ain't great but its do-able.

The song is alright, but I was talking the actually score of the game, it probably has the best theme out of all the movies.
